The bottle's cap
Manto and Rosso Rumore’s cap is a screw cap that has many advantages:
- No risk of cork contamination in the wine.
- It is easy to open and close.
- The bottles can be stored in a upright position and there is no risk for the cap to dry out.
- The airtightness is always guaranteed.
- The quantity of Sulphur to protect the wine from oxidation is minimum.
- The greatest quality is the freshness maintenance of the wine, in fact, it is a warranty for the wines to drink within 2 years and without changing the quality of the wine itself.
Loy’s cap is a Nomacorc New Select Green, it is eco-friendly with better performance than a normal cap and better control of the oxygen in the bottle.
Its characteristics are:
- Control over the quantity of oxygen entering the bottle, it is ideal for high-quality wines.
- It has a pleasing wooden effect which is comparable to the cork.
- Soft coating for a constant performance during the bottling and it gives a hand feel similar to the cork bark.
- It is the first cap in the world without a carbon footprint.
- It is created with renewable polymers of vegetable origin.
- It is recyclable.
The bottle
The choice of using a Burgundy bottle of 400g instead of a 570g or 750g bottle has huge environmental benefits.
The glassworks evaluate an energetic consumption per glass Kg produced between 12 and 15 MJ (megajoule), which is equivalent to 2.7 Kg of CO2 emissions, especially regarding the percentage of recycled glass.
Every lightweight bottle can save raw materials, which, together with a minor release into the atmosphere of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide emissions, are responsible for the greenhouse effect.
